Job Description

We are looking for several candidates (m/f) for a client (employer) from the Labin area, Istria County, Republic of Croatia to work in the following position: Chef with knowledge of Istrian or Italian cuisine
Conditions:
·Season 2025, (Note: there is a possibility of permanent employment):
·We are looking for a serious candidate who is ready for a long-term employment contract of at least 12 months
·Salary depending on experience 2200 to 2500 EUR net (depending on experience and work performed – salary in agreement with the employer)
·Minimum 18 months of experience working in an Istrian (Croatian) or Italian restaurant
·Knowledge of various types of meat, fish, their characteristics and processing techniques
·Recognizes the freshness of fish and selects the best combinations to create high-quality dishes
·Knows various cooking techniques suitable for fish, such as grilling, steaming, frying and stewing. Is able to choose the appropriate cooking technique for each type of fish to preserve its flavour and texture.
· Knowledge of cooking pasta, sauces, etc.
·Every additional hour worked is of course paid.
·Working in shifts,
·Working 6 days a week, with one day off per week
·Works all year round
·Working hours are the same in summer and winter, weekdays, maximum 9 hours per day
·Annual vacation from 23.12 to 15.01
·Accommodation and utilities paid by employer, two people in a room
·Meals provided at the employer’s expense at the work facility, as well as coffee and juice from the machine
·There is a possibility of permanent employment after successfully completing the probationary period and completing a fixed-term contract
·Start of work no later than: Immediately
Job description:
·The restaurant offers Istrian meat and fish specialties, wines, etc., and knowledge and experience in working with them is essential.
·Knows the menu

·Preparing the kitchen for work,
·Preparing food in accordance with standards, maintaining personal cleanliness and the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
·Responsibility to ensure that fish dishes are prepared to the best possible standard, just like all other dishes
·Food hygiene and preservation standards are always properly observed
·Cleaning and boning fish, as well as preparing ideal sauces and marinades to enhance flavor.
·Able to effectively manage their workstation, ensure food safety standards, and collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure coordination and timeliness of service.
·Must be able to recognize the freshness of fish and assess its quality,
·Cleaning, filleting and boning fish
·and other tasks at the employer’s request
